Early detection saves lives
My mammogram test results came back normal today and even as a part of me rejoices, I know that the battle is far from won for several women out there.
According to statistics, if you’re a woman in the United States, the chances of you developing breast cancer during your lifetime are about 1 in 8.
I have personally seen strong and lovely women lose their everything to breast cancer. And to think that this could be prevented or better dealt with if they’d been more proactive in getting screened and tested!
The reality today is that you and I could be the next statistic on a cancer awareness campaign. The only way to protect, if not prevent, is to test, test, test!
I personally love Cancer Guardian’s Genetic Testing Program which clearly outlines the potential risks and prognosis. Upon receiving my results, I just wanted to put it out there to all the women in my circle that early detection is KEY in combating breast cancer. Let’s take care of ourselves, we deserve it!
If you’d like to know more about the program and how it can help you individually or as an organization, feel free to drop me a message and we’ll get talking.
